Requirements and Procedures
All psychology majors and minors complete a sequence of three core courses. They select additional courses at different levels and from different categories, to ensure both breadth and depth of exposure to the field. This website provides detailed information on requirements and important procedures:
- Requirements for the major and minor in psychology
- How to declare a major or minor in psychology
- Petitioning to graduate
- Applying to study abroad, and how course work abroad can be counted toward psychology requirements.
Students are also welcome to meet with a department adviser to discuss any of these topics. Just contact the department office (Swift Hall 102, 847-467-0285) or email psych-advising@u.northwestern.edu.
