Information for Applicants
The application portal will open on October 1, 2025 and review of applicants for Fall 2026 admission. Applicants are strongly urged to submit all materials including financial aid application forms, electronic transmissions, and all supporting documents to The Graduate School by 5 pm CST on December 1st. The application review process will begin immediately after the deadline.
If you wish to find out whether the faculty member whose lab you are interested in joining is taking new graduate students for the Fall 2026 Admission cycle, please review the current status of each faculty member.
There are two graduate training programs in clinical psychology at Northwestern. This site contains detailed information on the program run by the Department of Psychology, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, located on the Evanston campus, which is primarily focused on research. The clinical program on the Chicago campus is affiliated with the Feinberg School of Medicine, and is focused on scientist/practitioner training.
When submitting applications, you need to CLEARLY specify the program to which you are applying. Your application will be forwarded to the wrong department unless you have the correct department number on your Graduate School application.
