Information for Applicants

The application portal will open on October 1, 2026  for Fall 2027 admission.  Applicants are strongly urged to submit all materials including financial aid application forms, electronic transmissions, and all supporting documents to The Graduate School by 5 pm CST on December 1st. The application review process will begin immediately after the deadline and we cannot accept late applications.

If you wish to find out whether the faculty member whose lab you are interested in joining is taking new graduate students for the Fall 2027 Admission cycle, please review the current status of each faculty member.

PLEASE NOTE: There are two separate graduate training programs in clinical psychology at Northwestern. This site contains detailed information for the program run by the Department of Psychology, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, located on the Evanston campus, which is primarily focused on research. The Feinberg clinical program on the Chicago campus is affiliated with the Feinberg School of Medicine; it has separate faculty and program staff and is focused on scientist/practitioner training.

The program and the affiliated faculty that you are applying to must align.

Example: Do not apply to the WCAS Psychology program if you are applying to work with faculty in the Feinberg School of Medicine.

As a reminder, the list of faculty in our department who are recruiting for Fall 2027 is posted in the document linked above.
